Product Terms & Conditions – Summary Box

Minimum balanceGross*/AER**%

Interest is calculated daily and may be visible on your account from the 24th of the month. This won’t be available to you until the due date of the last working day of the applicable month.

If the balance on the account falls below the minimum of £100, no interest will be earned until the minimum balance is reached again.

*Interest is paid free from UK tax.

**AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and added once each year.

The interest rate is variable which means we can increase or decrease the rate at any time.

For more details about why we may change the rate, and how and when we will let you know about a change, please refer to the Interest section of the General Savings Account Terms and Conditions.

This projection is for illustrative purposes only.

If £1,000 was deposited, the account balance would be £1,029.00 after 12 months. This assumes no further deposits or withdrawals are made, no changes are made to the current interest rate and interest earned is added to the account.

This account is available to open for both new and re-subscriptions for 2024/2025 in branch.

The account is available to open online for new accounts only.

You must fund the account within ten days of opening. You can fund the account multiple times during this period.

The minimum balance is £100, the maximum subscription for the 2024/25 tax year is £20,000 and the maximum holding with the Society is £500,000.

Transfers in from other ISA providers are not permitted.

Withdrawals are permitted without notice and can be made online, in branch or by post.

ISAs cannot be transferred from one saver to another except upon the death of the account holder, please ask us for further information.

Any money you move to an account that isn’t an ISA will lose its tax-free status. Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and may change in the future.

You can transfer to another provider at any point. We will forward the funds to the new ISA provider within 5 business days of receiving your instruction from them.

ISAs can only be held in the name of one individual.

You will be, and must remain in, beneficial ownership of the investment and it must not be used as security for a loan.

The Society will notify you, if by reason of any failure to satisfy the provision of the ISA regulations, your ISA has, or will, become void. We will make sure that any person to whom we delegate any of our functions or responsibilities under the terms agreed with you, is competent to carry out those functions and responsibilities.

You must be a permanent UK mainland resident aged 18 or over.
