Newcombe House Community Hub
A Year of Progress and Purpose
We’re proud to celebrate the first anniversary of our head office, Newcombe House. This milestone marks a year of incredible progress in fostering collaboration, deepening community engagement, and creating a modern, inclusive workspace that benefits both our colleagues and the wider community.
A Bold Move to a Modern Workspace
Last year, we made the bold decision to move our team into a new, purpose-built head office. Designed to inspire connection and teamwork, Newcombe House also serves as a welcoming hub for local charities, groups, and clubs to host meetings and events. Our CEO, Iain Kirkpatrick, pledged to make this space available to the community — and we’ve stayed true to that promise.

A Unique Shared-Space Initiative
At first, we weren’t sure how this shared-space initiative would be received. After all, it was a new concept — blending a professional workplace with community use. But the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Since opening, we’ve welcomed a growing number of partners who now regularly use the space.
Rapid Growth in Community Engagement
In 2024, we hosted just over 60 bookings from May to December. For 2025, we already have over 260 bookings in the diary — and we’re on track to welcome more than 3,000 visitors this year, up from around 500 in our first seven months. What started as a venue for meetings and events has evolved into a vibrant space for hot desking, interviews, one-on-ones, and even a break from working from home.

Staying True to Our Mutual Values
As a mutual organisation, we prioritise social purpose over shareholder profit. Newcombe House has become a place where small businesses, charities, and community groups come together to collaborate and grow. We’re proud to be part of that journey.
Voices from the Community
Rohini Corfield from Voluntary Action South Leicestershire (VASL), one of our regular visitors, shared:
“VASL Community Champions has used Newcombe House to host training for our digital volunteers, and for team meetings. We find the facilities excellent and have always enjoyed a warm welcome. We appreciate having access to such a professional working space.”
Tim Neal, MHBS Head of Footprint,
“I am incredibly proud of how Newcombe House has evolved into a central hub for our community. The positive impact we’ve had on local groups and charities is a testament to our commitment to making a meaningful difference. We look forward to continuing this journey and supporting even more initiatives in the future.”
