Payment difficulties relating to COVID-19
Following the latest guidance from the FCA, customers now have until 31 March 2021 to apply for an initial, or a further, payment deferral (also known as a payment holiday). After that date, you will only be able to extend existing payment deferrals to 31 July 2021 at the latest, provided any extensions cover consecutive payments, and your total payment deferral is no more than the maximum six months allowed.
If you haven't yet taken a payment deferral, and think you may need the full six months you should apply by 31 January 2021 in order to claim the maximum entitlement. You can find out more by visiting our mortgage payment guidance page.
