It gives me great pleasure to invite you to our AGM, in a year that has marked both meaningful progress for our Society and the 250th anniversary of the building society sector.

Have your say at this year’s AGM
As a member, you remain at the heart of everything we do. Our AGM is your opportunity to influence how we operate, hear directly from our leadership team, and be part of key decisions that shape our future.

Join us on Thursday 30 April at Newcombe House, 16 The Point, Market Harborough, LE16 7QU from 2pm.

At the AGM you can cast your vote in person, ask questions of our Board and Executive Team, and share your thoughts on the direction of your Society. If you are unable to attend, you can still have your say by voting online using the details provided on your proxy form received either in your paper pack or email. 

A building society ready for the next 250 years
In response to increasing competition in our core markets, we have actively identified a new opportunity in consumer lending and are currently working with regulators to secure permission to enter this market in 2026.

This strategic move will require considered investment and will have an impact on profitability in 2026, but both the Executive and Board are united in their commitment to this initiative, recognising it as a critical step to safeguard our future and further strengthen our ‘Thrive’ agenda.

We’re also celebrating £1 million given to local good causes as part of our Thrive Agenda, an achievement made possible by our members. This is a meaningful milestone in our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve and reinforces our ability to create even greater positive impact together.

Our Head Office has lots of free car parking if you are planning on driving. If you need help travelling to us, we can arrange transport from our Welland House Branch on The Square — just let us know when you RSVP.
