Supporting local communities

Charitable Foundation

In 1999 the Society created its own Charitable Foundation to support local communities in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. The Building Society provides funding to the Charitable Foundation which operates independently with its own trustees.

If you represent a local charity or voluntary group and are looking for funding for a capital project between £250 – £5,000, the Foundation may be able to help.

Four meetings are held annually and the board of independent trustees review every application individually.

What can you apply for?

You can apply for a grant for any amount between £250 and £5,000 to help fund the purchase of capital items. To have a look at some of the projects the Foundation has been able to help with visit our Showing our support page.
