Market Harborough Building Society is committed to making a positive difference in the communities they serve. We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation to launch the Market Harborough Building Society Community Fund!
This wonderful fund is all about empowering local initiatives, supporting grassroots projects, and nurturing a spirit of togetherness. Through the Community Fund, Market Harborough Building Society is committed to addressing the community’s challenges head-on and creating lasting, positive change where it matters most.
Applying for the Funding
Fund opened: Tuesday, 12 November 2024 at 2:00 pm
Deadline for applications: Sunday, 19 January 2025 at 11:59 pm
Notification* of the outcome of applications: Late March 2025
*Please note, we will be in touch regarding the outcome of your application whatever the decision, and if you are unsuccessful, we will provide clear feedback with reason why, and suggestions for future applications and signposting.
The fund will focus on supporting those in need, particularly in areas such as:
- Poverty and Disadvantage
- Food and fuel poverty
- Housing and homelessness
- Debt relief and financial resilience
- Combating antisocial behaviour, crime, and gangs
- Addressing rural issues and transport
- Preventing abuse, violence, and exploitation
- Supporting ex-offenders and those at risk of offending
Funding Available
£42,767.21 is available this year. Ten grants, ranging from £2,000 to £5,000, will go to groups in the Market Harborough Building Society area during 2024.
You must use the grant within one year for things like equipment, staff costs, training, rent, or volunteer expenses.
Since this is a new fund, we don’t have data on past success rates yet.
Eligibility Area
Your project must operate within the specific areas of Market Harborough, Kibworth, Corby, Kettering, Desborough, or Rothwell to be eligible.
