Current SVR (Standard Variable Rate) for mortgages
What is an SVR? An SVR is an interest rate, it is not linked directly to an independent external rate such as the Bank of England’s Base Rate. It is set by a lender.
Market Harborough Building Society has two types of SVR relating to residential loans:
Residential SVR – 8.19% – effective from 1 October 2024
Holiday Let SVR – 8.19% – effective from 1 October 2024
In addition, the Society has a variable base rate for commercial lending at 8.19% – effective from 1 October 2024
An SVR may not be available to you as a mortgage deal and in many cases is the rate that will be charged once an initial fixed or variable deal ends. To discuss your mortgage or current rates available to you, please contact the Mortgage Team on 01858 412412.
If you’re worried about meeting your monthly mortgage repayments, please get in touch as soon as possible on 01858 412412. More help and information can be found on our payment difficulties page.
