We’re delighted to announce another highly successful year for the Society.

Our total assets grew to £722m and we achieved record levels of new mortgage lending of £198m. For the second consecutive year, our mortgage book grew by 20%, making us one of the fastest-growing building societies in the UK.

We combine the values of a respected building society with the agility and smooth processes of a modern-day lender. Last year, we helped more brokers and clients than ever before and took great strides towards becoming the specialist lender of choice for brokers.

We led the way in doing the right thing for brokers by committing to provide at least 24 hours’ notice before withdrawing products and enhancing our product switch process with a 0.30% procuration fee. Our Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award recognises our consistently high levels of customer service and we’ve recently been named a finalist in the 2024 Property Reporter and Mortgage Strategy Awards.

We stayed true to our promises, made decisions based on what was right for brokers and their clients and are proud to have delivered another record-breaking set of results.

I’m looking forward to what the future holds, including the move to our new head office at The Point in Market Harborough later this month, which will see our colleagues working together under one roof for the first time. I can’t wait to see the impact that even better communication and collaboration will have as we bring even more innovation to the market.”

Giving back

Our Thrive Agenda flourished as we continued to support good causes and give back to local communities. This included £2.2m invested in our Affordable Homes Programme to help local families have a place to call home, and donations of £100k as part of our Thrive!mas pledge to ensure those in our community did not go hungry or lonely in the run up to Christmas. We’re excited about the great things we have planned for our Thrive Agenda this year and beyond.
