Our story
Market Harborough Building Society has been helping people secure their dream homes for over 150 years and is now one of the UK’s fastest-growing building societies. We have delivered 20% mortgage book growth for the second year running and are a forward-thinking organisation committed to doing what’s best for our brokers, clients and members.
A key part of my role is leading our daily Credit Committee to stay connected to the needs of borrowers and brokers. This allows us to keep evolving and say yes to even more of your mortgage cases. By taking a proactive approach, we provide fast, reliable decisions and stay true to our promise of always providing at least 24 hours’ notice of product changes. These form part of our Best for Brokers Promise, which highlights how we put the needs of brokers and their clients first.

Our products
Every day, our mortgage experts go above and beyond, looking for ways to say ‘yes’ to complex cases. Lending between £200k and £5m with up to 80% LTV on properties in England and Wales, we offer a wide range of flexible, award-winning products and cater for out-of-the-ordinary scenarios such as unusual properties and non-standard income.
How we work
Achieving the best outcome for a complex case requires open and honest two-way communication. We build long-term relationships with our broker partners and usually help them with several cases each year.
