The interest rate is variable which means we can increase or decrease the rate at any time.

For more details about why we may change the rate, as well as how and when we will let you know about a change, please refer to section 12.3 of the General Savings Account Terms and Conditions.

This projection is for illustrative purposes only.

If £1,000 was deposited on 1 November, the account balance would be £1,005.50 on 31 October the following year. This assumes no further deposits or withdrawals are made, no changes are made to the interest rate and interest earned is added to the account.

We have made the difficult decision to suspend new savings account openings until further notice. However, existing members can still open this account using our Online Service.

You must fund the account within seven days of opening.

You must be a permanent UK resident and aged 18 or over.

For under 18s, the account must be opened by an adult in the capacity of Trustee, and can only be opened and managed in branch or by post.

You can pay into your account by electronic payment, cash or cheque.

The minimum balance is £1 and the maximum balance is £500,000 per person (£1m joint).

Customers may hold more than one Save & Support Plus account, but the maximum holding across all accounts with the Society is £500,000 per person.

Withdrawals are permitted without notice and can be made online, in branch or by post.

A transaction charge will apply when a withdrawal is made that leaves the account balance below £100. Please see separate Savers’ Fees for Additional Services leaflet for details.

Every year we will make a donation (minimum £5,000) to our charity of the year, linked to the average balance across all Save & Support account types. This donation will be made by the Society, so it won’t reduce your account balance or the amount of interest you are paid.

If you de-register from our Online Service, your account will change to a Save & Support account within 30 days.

We reserve the right to prohibit any further deposits into this product.

This product may be withdrawn from sale at any time without notice.

We reserve the right to close your account and return the funds to you.
